Welcoming a Community of
Diverse Learners and their Families

Junior Outdoors Club is for children 5-10 years old, and operates from 8:30-2:30. Before/After Camp care is available between 7:30 and 5:30. All of the camp weeks focus on the project approach to topics around a theme of science and exploration. Elementary aged children engage in exploration by having the opportunities to discover life science and earth science topics through play and exploration. Each week, students will explore scientific concepts through projects and activities that focus on ecology, geography, geology, botany and zoology. Junior Outdoor Club takes one major field trip each week of camp. A few of the planned field trips are Pilot Mountain, Lazy 5 Ranch, and the Greensboro Historical Museum. Community concepts of friendship and play, independence and interdependence are a focus of our creative projects.
